Things to do on a beautiful Fall Weekend in Mystic.



-Grab a hot beverage and a pastry from one of downtown Mystic’s hot spots (like Sift Bake Shop or Mystic Depot Roasters).


-Take a leisurely drive around the Mystic River. Leaf peep and snap a few photos along scenic River Road and through Old Mystic.


- Venture over to the ever-popular B.F Clyde’s Cider Mill for warm apple cider donuts, mums, pumpkins and cider tasting. Established in 1881, B.F. Clyde’s is the oldest steam powered cider mill in the United States. Season starts in September with sales of hard ciders and apple wines, jams, jellies, local honey, maple syrup, fudge, and what many people call “The best sweet cider on Earth!


-Mystic Seaport Museum

You enjoy a self-guided tour of the living historic village. Stop by the blacksmith's shop, board ships along the waterfront, and even chat about maritime history with the on-site historians—all included with the price of entry.


-Walk around downtown Mystic

This charming town has a quintessential New England coastal community vibe.


-Mystic Aquarium

The aquarium is home to more than 5,000 marine animals, including penguins, sharks, colorful reef fish, turtles, dart frogs, rare blue lobsters and beluga whales. Interactive hands-on exhibits allow visitors to touch a shark or cownose ray and feed a stingray.
